<description>Listened to the 11/11 interview with Coach Markham...good show

One thing Coach Markham mentioned i would like to discuss more (perhaps you can mention it on another show or when you get another Double Wing Coach on) was the play calling...

Coach Markham said he watches the game and makes his play calling from that...more specifics on that please...for example: where is he looking when he calls his off tackle play...does he watch the offensive players or the defensive players...i suspect the defense..and if so does he watch the backside end/backside middle backer/nearside safety? or does he watch the frontside d-line or ends? and also what reaction does he look for in each...fast flow to the ball from the backside(run counter play)...d-linemen cutting(run off tackle or outside)....? I take it this is a skill he developed, and the best we can do is watch game film of double wing teams and try to find reactions

(f course all offenses try to have companion plays to counter defensive reactions, one advantage of the double wing is with everyone packed in tight, it is easy to view several players at once as they are close together...

also, coach mentions he does not wear a headset--i take it that he does not communicate the play calling with his staff so he does not need/use their help in watching the defense
so he is calling the game solo...

one last point, where does he stand to best see the action/call the game...at the line of scrimmage, or at the away end of the coaches box behind the defense or offense?

Thanks

<description>Coach JJ Lawson broken down his 33 stack attack defensive system. We talked about what skill sets you should look for in every position. We covered coverages andkey coaching points at the end of the interview. We also talked about how you can adjust your fronts to cause more confusion to the offensive line with their assignments. The reason I brought him on is to help coaches look at other options you have when coaching at this level. In this interview we talked about youth defensive formations, how to install an attacking youth defensive system, and how to handle key youth coaching issues when it comes to getting your MPP&#039;s playing time where they can be effective instead of hiding them. Great interview and sorry about the switchboard issues.

<description>Part 2 has been added to the same show page. Just scroll down to check out the installment, tech., and reads of the 31 hybrid defense. We also extended the show to talk about blitz packages.</description>

<description>This is one of the all time best shows I have ever done. The WIng T Round Table is still one of the top downloaded shows hands down. People still download this interview every day. This group of coaches answered question on a open panel and all kinds of coaching nuggets was given out. Everything from o-line play, youth football practice tips, drills, plays, you name it...it was covered. The last part of the show was classic. This is when the coaches just took over and some great info was passed. This is a Hall of Fame Show finalist of all shows that have been produced by me.

<description>We did it for the Wing T, we did it two times for the DW, now it&#039;s time for the SW round table. This is an interview talking about the SW Symposium that was held this month. A few guest speakers from this event came on to give us a sample on what would be covered. You also had a return of the Hall of Fame Coach Dr. John Ward. Nice group interview.
